Before The Big Yes

Booking policies without the fog.

Clear is kind. Especially when flights, feelings, and tiny retreat spaces are involved.

Please read this before booking. By securing your space for an Adios Comfort Zone retreat or event, you agree to the terms that apply to that experience.

Retreats and events are not always booked the same way. Check the page you are booking from, then come back here if you need the practical bits.
01

Booking retreats

ACZ retreats are small on purpose. For the Siargao retreat, there are only 6 spaces, so a space is only yours once payment has been received and your booking confirmation has been sent.

Payment

To secure your retreat space, a 50% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking.

The remaining 50% balance is due 30 days before the retreat begins. If you book within 30 days of the retreat start date, full payment is due at the time of booking.

If a different payment plan is clearly offered on a retreat page or agreed in writing, those payment dates will apply.

If you need to cancel

The 50% deposit is non-refundable. This is not to be dramatic. It is because retreat spaces are very limited, rooms are held, and costs are committed in advance.

If you cancel before the final balance is due, you will not need to pay the remaining 50%, but the deposit will be kept.

If you cancel after the final balance has been paid, the full payment is non-refundable unless we are able to fill your space with another guest.

If we are able to fill your space, we will refund the recoverable amount minus the non-refundable 50% deposit and any unavoidable payment processing fees.

Transfers

You may request to transfer your space to someone else, but transfers must be approved by ACZ first. The new guest must be a good fit for the retreat and must complete any required booking information before the transfer is confirmed.

Transfers requested within 14 days of the retreat may not be possible.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Please make sure your policy covers cancellation, travel delays, medical needs, and anything else you personally need to feel held.

02

Booking events

ACZ also hosts events, workshops, circles, collaborations, and other experiences that are not full retreats.

Event booking terms can change depending on the event type, location, venue, guest teacher, capacity, and whether the experience is online or in person.

Please refer to the specific event page for the payment, cancellation, transfer, and refund terms that apply to that event.

If the event page says something different from this general policy, the event page is the one to follow.

03

What is included

Your booking includes the items listed on the retreat or event page under what is included. If it is not listed there, please assume it is not included unless we have confirmed it in writing.

For retreats, this usually means the retreat experience, accommodation, and the inclusions named on the retreat page.

It does not usually include:

  • Flights or transport to the destination, unless clearly stated.
  • Travel insurance.
  • Personal expenses.
  • Optional extras, add-ons, treatments, or activities not listed as included.
04

Programme changes

Each ACZ experience is intentionally designed, but flexibility is part of real life, especially when travel, weather, venues, and group energy are involved.

We may make reasonable changes to the schedule, programme, activities, teachers, locations, timings, or inclusions if needed. Where possible, we will offer a thoughtful alternative.

Small changes to the programme do not automatically create grounds for a refund.

05

Health, safety, and responsibility

By booking, you confirm that you are physically, emotionally, and mentally able to take part in the experience you are joining.

If you have any medical, mental health, accessibility, dietary, or personal needs that may affect your participation, please tell us before booking or as soon as possible after booking. We will always do our best to be thoughtful, but we cannot promise that every need can be accommodated.

Participation in activities is voluntary. You are responsible for your own wellbeing, belongings, travel documents, insurance, and personal choices throughout the experience.

Adios Comfort Zone is not responsible for travel delays, missed flights, lost belongings, external disruptions, personal injury, illness, or costs caused by circumstances outside our control.

06

If something outside our control happens

If an experience cannot go ahead because of circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, serious weather events, travel restrictions, public health events, venue issues, or other situations we could not reasonably prevent, we will do our best to offer a credit, transfer, or alternative date.

Refunds in these situations are not guaranteed and will depend on what has already been committed, paid, or made unrecoverable by the time the disruption happens.

07

Questions

If anything here feels unclear, please ask before booking. We would rather talk it through than have you say yes with a question mark in your stomach.
